Agriculture is regarded as a very important factor in the economy of Kenya. It is estimated that 80 per cent of Kenya’s population is dependent on agriculture. As most of the population continue to live in rural areas, dependence on agriculture will continue to rise. Every nation has a responsibility to feed its own people. This book, therefore, aims at exposing students to the basic principles of agriculture that can be put into practice for the benefit of the individual and the community in general.
