Tusome instructional materials have been developed to enhance literacy competencies which are the foundational skills for quality education. This book has been aligned to the Competence Based Curriculum and will guide learning and teaching in Grade 2. The design of the book has taken into consideration evidence-based strategies for developing literacy skills and will ensure that learners acquire skills that are relevant to their level. I would like to urge partners, teachers and other stakeholders to continue supporting the reforms in the Education Sector for improved learning outcomes.
